Our company is pleased to announce our involvement in the comprehensive conversion of Ro-Ro/Pass “ANDROS KING” (ex. VOLCAN DE TABURIENTE), recently acquired by GOLDEN STAR FERRIES. This project builds upon our established expertise in maritime conversions and aims to increase the company’s fleet and presence in the Aegean.

We will be responsible for upgrading “ANDROS KING” to meet the most current European Safety Rules and Regulations, while also enhancing its passenger accommodations to achieve superior levels of comfort and quality.

September 2023

After a year of extensive works, the conversion of ANDROS QUEEN (operated by GOLDEN STAR FERRIES) was completed this summer. The former Japanese vessel was completely renovated from the garage up, with new cabins and luxurious salon decks, as well as interventions to make the garage spaces more functional.

The ship has a capacity of 1.250 Passengers +50 Crew, and a max carrying capacity of 290 Cars or 45 Trucks.

We are proud to announce that we are officially partnering with Fast Marine Technology ( http://www.fmt-egypt.com/) in Alexandria, Egypt. Throughout the past 15 years, we have worked successfully on many projects, and the latest will be the Ramps Modifications of the vessel “AL HURREYA 3”, in what is going to be the first time that our company exclusively undertakes and manages the complete process of supplying materials, design, and documentation, as a turn-key delivered project.

 

Ro-Ro/Pass “AL HURREYA 3” has been a training vessel for the Egyptian Navy, and multiple past mishaps have held ashore for many years. As a company, we will coordinate and work together with Greek, EU and Egyptian subcontractors, in what we hope to develop into a fruitful cooperation with Alexandria Shipyards in the near future for further projects.

Our company will be undertaking the responsibility of the conversion of Ro-Ro/Pass “SMYRNA” (ex. KOPERNIK), the latest ship bought by LEVANTE FERRIES.

On December 5^th, we presented during the HIMT Annual Meeting 2018 conference hosted by the Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology, our concept for a Fully Electric, Battery Powered Day Passenger Ferry.

After the presentation we were happy to answer the many questions raised by the audience, mostly regarding the life cycle and financial challenges of such an endeavor.

We are excited to announce that a new type of exclusively Electric Day Passenger Ferry is being developed by our company. More news regarding publication and presentation of this project coming soon!

A-Ships Management (EUROPEAN SEAWAYS associated) has bought “PRINCE” (ex. “WIND AMBITION”), a Floating Hotel Vessel (Accommodation Vessel) to be converted as a Ro-Ro/Passenger ship, with Ath.Kopoukis – S.T.A.D. SA responsible for all the Drawings and Studies required for the Conversion and Reactivation. The ship arrived in Greece on 30 April 2018

Ath.Kopoukis – S.T.A.D. SA has been entrusted with the responsibility of conversion and reactivation of the new vessel of ANEK, Ro-Ro/Pass “ASTERION II” (ex. “GRAND SPRING”). All the necessary Drawings, Booklets and Studies will be carried out in order for the ship to be recognized by the Greek Flag Administration and RINA Classification for Short International Voyages according to SOLAS.
